Founded in 1976, our mission to relieve and prevent foot,
ankle, knee and back pain thus has lead to the development of a wide
range of effective quality foot care products that are available around
the world. Our founders hold several US and Canadian patents, trademarks
and copyrights, and have vast industry experience and expertise.
We are constantly developing new products to add to our line, and new
ways to provide the most effective orthotics in the marketplace. We not
only use state of the art technology to produce our orthotics – we
develop it too. Our research and design department is continuously
developing and approving products that meet and/or exceed the standards
set by the professional medical community.
All product prototypes are first subject to a rigorous testing
schedule, which includes procedures that monitor durability, comfort and
effectiveness.
The Benefits of Orthotics
Since feet are the major weight-bearing part of the body, foot pain
is common. The foot contains 26 bones, up to 2 sesamoid bones, and many
small structures which support and balance the weight of the entire
body. Walking puts up to 1.5 times one’s body weight on the foot whilst
running will put 3 times the body weight. This weight stress
combined with the average eight to 10,000 step a day over time
causes biomechanical problems.
Foot pain is not normal and should not be ignored; problems can
affect the functioning of other parts of the body, including the hips,
knees, and back. These are foot-related problems that may be related to
biomechanical issues.
In addition to providing relief for painful foot problems or an
injury, orthotics may provide benefits for:
